Here is some useful local information. Please feel free to contribute your own info by emailing here.

Rubbish Collections

Our rubbish is collected on Tuesday mornings, usually around 8.00 – 8.30 am, but occasionally earlier for the orange sacks (recycling) and later for household waste.

Please do not put rubbish out for collection until after 8.00 pm on Monday nights and wrap any food waste securely.

Bulky waste and garden waste, for which there are charges, are collected separately – ring 7926 9000 or e-mail streetcarecallcentre@lambeth.gov.uk to arrange collection.

Fly-tipping: Rubbish is still being dumped round the large bins at the Stannary Street end of Aulton Place.  Please note

that the bins are for residents in the immediate area.  If you have to use them, please make sure that your rubbish is properly wrapped and placed in the bins, not dumped beside them.

Bulky rubbish: Please make proper arrangements for the council to collect it.  If you see dumped rubbish, contact Lambeth StreetCare: www.StreetCarteCallCentre@Lambeth.gov.uk  or phone: 020 7926 9000).  If you need to get rid of furniture, there is a charity for the homeless, Emmaus, based in Norwood that will collect anything usable – see their website:  www.emmaus.org
